  1. Howard Shaffer is a PAID SHILL for the Gambling industry.  Plenty of studies show that gambling addiction increases as there are more opportunities to gamble.

  2. He talks about people gambling in a "reasonable and healthy way." Is there any reasonable and healthy way to burn your family's money as with a cigarette lighter?

And btw, no one is talking about gambling prohibition, but NOT expanding it.

  3. he should refer to which studies, and I can read the methodologies. What kinds of random samples were taken and in what areas of the nation?

People on line gambling "moderately"? That is a joke. Online gambling is the most dangerous.

  4. this bloke is a fucking idiot whos paid by the gambling commision…in 1 interview he said gambling is as addictive as crack in another he defended that comment by saying not every1 who does crack becomes addicted…

  5. This man is an apologist for gambling. His percentages are utter rubbish. Love the soft spoken approach, watch the video a few times and you will have a tell on him. I could use this character to teach poker players.

  6. @ddrewworks Show me the stats. I know there are not 80,000 gambling addicts in Minnesota. So obvious you pulled that out of thin air. How stupid do you think we are? Even if your figures were correct that is only 1.5% of the population who are problem gamblers.

  7. I dont know where this stuffed shirt got his information. In minnesota there were no casinos 30 years ago. now there are more than thirty. Increased exposure to gambling has brought increased numbers of gambling addicts. there are at least 80,000 gambling addicts in minnesota alone. but that wouldn't have anything to do with the incresed exposure to gambling, would it howie? educated idiots!!!

  8. There is hope for the Hopeless that are struggling with addiction. Reformers Unanimous is a faith-based addictions program. We maintain an 82% percent success rate! Check us out @Ruinternational.
